Installation and Subscription
- How do I setup NOGOMO?
After downloading NOGOMO, NOGOMO will automatically guide you through the installation and set up process. During the set-up process, you will be asked to set up your 6-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN). Keep this PIN secure at all times as it will allow you access to the NOGOMO Portal as well as the NOGOMO application on your phone. This step is necessary. After entering your 6-digit PIN, You will be prompted to enter a “Buddy Number”. It is advisable to enter the number of someone whom you trust, as the person will have access to a temporary PIN should you forget your PIN, and also be informed should your phone be stolen. It is highly advisable to enter a Buddy Number. After entering your Buddy Number, you will be prompted to enter an email. This email is important so that you will be able reset your PIN if you forget, as well as to be informed of important updates and announcements. The final step is to activate NOGOMO either by clicking on the Try Button for a free three-day trial or the Buy Button which will allow you to purchase a license for a whole year

- What is my username and PIN?
Your username is your phone number; remember that your username includes your country code. Your PIN is the same for the NOGOMO application and website access - it is the a 6-digit number you initially set as PIN when you first activated NOGOMO. Note: if we cannot get your phone number, we set your IMEI as your user name (press *#06# on your phone)

- How do I subscribe to NOGOMO?
NOGOMO comes with a free 7 day trial. At the end of the trial, you will be prompted to subscribe. You can view payment options and subscribe from the application itself.

- Where can I find NOGOMO on my phone?
NOGOMO can be found in the default installation directory of your phone. For Symbian Devices such as Nokia N and E series, you may access it by going to your main menu and selecting either Installations, Applications or My Own. For Windows Mobile phones, it is located in your Programs by going to Start Menu, Programs.

- Does my handset support NOGOMO?

- Can I customize NOGOMO to suit my mobile usage patterns and preferences?
Yes, you can. NOGOMO offers you a range of customizable settings. For instance, you can configure the setting to automatically lock whenever the SIM card is replaced (because this would most likely imply the handset is stolen). Once you unlock your phone on a particular SIM card, the SIM becomes a Safe SIM and will not lock on it again. NOGOMO also enables you to backup different types of data the way you want it. For example, you can set it to automatically back up your crucial data such as contacts and SMS.

- Can NOGOMO protect my SIM too?
NOGOMO currently does not provide security for your SIM. If you lost both your phone and your SIM, you can use NOGOMO to protect your phone, and call your mobile operator to disable the SIM.

Locking
- What's the difference between my handset's built-in lock and NOGOMO's device lock?
NOGOMO's lock is a much more intelligent lock than the built-in lock. First of all, it allows you to remote control your phone anytime. Secondly, it enables you to show a message on the device to urge the person to return to phone to you, as well as enable you to call in to talk to the person. In addition, it also provides an acknowledgement to confirm whether your phone has been/has not been locked, so you will have the peace of mind to know that your phone is really protected. Besides, it also looks prettier.

Tracking
- So what does NOGOMO Track?
NOGOMO helps you track down every detail of the activities in your handset. You can easily track any new SIM cards inserted into your handset by visiting the Track page. You can also use the backup feature to track down all the SMS sent/received, incoming/outgoing phone calls, etc. This can help you keep a record of your own usage, or track down the thief's identity in case of theft.

- How can I backup my data?
Backup can be done in three ways: (1) Auto Backup: Go to the NOGOMO application located on your handset to set this option on. Select and Enter the "Backup Now" Function. In the settings menu, you will be able to select auto backup. You can choose the frequency of auto backup. Only new data will be backed up, so you do not have to worry about excessive GPRS usage (2) Manual Web Backup: Go to the web portal, log in with your username and PIN, and go the Backup Section. You may manually select the data items you wish to backup. (3) Device Backup: Go to the NOGOMO application located on your handset to do a Manual Backup. Select and Enter the "Backup Now" Function. You will be presented with a list of items to backup; Select the data items you wish to backup, and back it up using the command from the options menu.

- How do I restore my data to a new phone I have purchased?
Log in to your user account at http://www.nogomo.net and go to Settings and Disconnect Device from your account. Follow the steps to install and set up NOGOMO into your new phone. Be sure to use your old account's PIN during setup. Once activation is successful, go to the Backup section of NOGOMO on your phone and select Options, Restore.

- How safe is my data with you?
All of the servers and communications are secured to the highest standards, using technologies equivalent to the banks or credit card companies. NOGOMO was initially developed for Police and Military use, so it has all the necessary encryption systems and communication security systems that ensures no one can view the private content of users, not even our staff. NOGOMO is also one of the leading mobile security products adopted and trusted by millions of users, there are zero reported cases of any loss in data privacy and integrity. And of course, at the end it is completely your choice – no data will be uploaded at all unless you choose to upload your data, if you still have concerns, you can simply choose to not upload any data at all and still enjoy the other security features.

- I am worried about data charges, will I be using 3G or GPRS while on NOGOMO?
That's an interesting question. Yes we do have to use a data connection to backup and restore your data; that is completely in your control on when and how it happens, or not at all. There may also be very minimal data usages for your phone to inform server on status such as whether the phone is locked. Please refer to your network operator as to what are the data usages for your mobile line.

- What is GPRS?
General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is a data service for your handset. Basically it allows you to use the internet, send out MMS, or other activities that require the usage of data transfer on your handset.

- How do I setup GPRS?
Newer handsets should have automatically GPRS configured access points. If you don't, please call your operator to help you set it up.

- Can I have a list of all remote commands?
Of course, it's our pleasure. Just send an SMS to the SIM in your phone with the following: To lock your phone: "Secure lock PIN". Example: Secure lock 123456. Once your phone is locked successfully, you will receive a success report over SMS. To wipe out the data on your phone: "Secure wipe PIN". Example: Secure wipe 123456. Once your phone is wiped successfully, your receive a success report over SMS.
